Aromatherapy uses essential oils, which are the concentrated extracts taken from plants.  The oils are used for their specific property to support the body’s natural healing process and enhance well-being. The oils used in my treatments are sourced from a reputable supplier selecting only the finest quality essential oils worldwide which have been extensively tested ensuring they are pure, natural and undiluted for clinical use.

Please note that during pregnancy some essential oils MUST NOT be used at all. Rose oil should not be used before 34 weeks and Clarysage oil and Jasmine oil should not be used before 37 weeks. If you are unsure please consult a therapist trained in pregnancy aromatherapy.

How are essential oils used?

A blend of up to 3 oils will be considered for their properties in relieving symptoms of a pregnancy condition you are suffering with.  You will then be given an opportunity to test the aroma to ensure suitability (other oils may be chosen if the first test is unsuitable as scent receptors are heightened in pregnancy).  Once the oils are chosen you will be given a choice of a suitable carrier oil to complete your unique blend.
